Our lovely ski chalet, in the centre of the pretty village of Govedartsi, is now for sale. Having bought it only half built, we have finished it off to a very high standard, making it a wonderful holiday home for anyone looking for something a bit more special. It is situated in amongst the locals in the village, rather than on a new "estate" outside the village. The views from the balcony are superb. It really is a great place to stay in winter or summer, with activities to suit all the family.
The chalet is built on two floors, in a style typical of alpine chalets throughout Europe. It has predominantly wooden floors throughout, and sloping wooden ceilings upstairs, adding to its character. The two floors cover a huge 193m2, making the rooms very spacious indeed.
The house benefits from oil central heating throughout, as well as double glazed windows and doors. The rear of the property has also been insulated to protect the pipework from the weather. The fireplace ,with woodburning stove, in the large downstairs living room adds to the feeling of warmth and cosiness.
The house sits on a large plot of 673m2, most of which is situated in front of the house and provides a lovely place to enjoy the summer months. The boiler and oil storage tank are housed in two outbuildings behind the house, out of view.
There is plenty of outside space to be enjoyed in addition to the garden. The downstairs terrace on the ground floor can be accessed from the front bedroom and the dining room, as well as the front door. The first floor balcony can be accessed from the upstairs sitting room, or fifth bedroom, depending on preference.
