so...we have no accountant in Italy yet...will need one next year as, I hope, to have some income
Anyway...we cannot get over this summer and I hate to just pick someone out of the phonebook (so to speak)...also...my italian's not great yet...so ok in person...but VERY hard for me on the phone (so far, no accountant in town who speaks English or has email that I can find)
So...that's fine...but...need to pay ICI taxes my the 30th...looks like my Comune has a website that I can calculate and pay...but I am totally lost and confused as to how to go about it! Anyone else figure it on your own? Would you be willing to help me out or give any advice?? Thank you, thank you! (as always!!!) Fell free to PM me if you'd like...hate to bore the whole group with stupid ICI questions
ICI - anyone calculate it yourself??
Musetta try asking this to or search on the italy magazine forums site http://www.italymag.co.uk/forums/ I'm sure someone has posted how to calculate it in the past. If you're not resident I don't think it has to be paid until December so you have plenty of time.
Hope that helps

in case anyone else was curious I figured it out myself...I owe about 25 euros and it was not hard to do...made me happy I gave it a go myself! you can figure it out (get your Aliquote) at: www.dossier.net
There's NO RISK AT ALL!!! It's a pretty straight-foward calculation, and if you use the link posted above you can easily compute it yourself.Ciapolin wrote:I don't know anyone who calculates their own. I admit it looks like you ought to be able to do it yourself, but I wouldn't take the risk myself.
We went to the Comune and asked them to work it out for us. The weren't too keen, but my wife fluttered her eye lids (very sexist) and they did it for us.
To really take the p**s we went in again a few weeks later with a friends ICI. He was very p**sed off to see us again, but my wife this time, not going to rely on only her eyelids, popped a bottle of wine in front of him to thank him.
He nearly fell off his chair and was very helpful, Who says bribes don't work in Italy!!!!!
