Cottages.com (aka Awaze) owner booking allowances

I wonder if anyone can help me with this question:
I listed two holiday properties with Cottages.com (now part of the Awaze group)about 10 years ago, As part of the contract, I have an "Owner Booking Allowance" for each property of several weeks each year allowing me to take a certain number of direct bookings. It's roughly:
2 weeks in summer
3 peak weeks
7 shoulder weeks
Unlimited winter weeks
Then, two years ago, I listed two additional properties and was given a different contract. Same level of commission but *unlimited* owners weeks allowing me to take as many direct bookings as I like.
All the properties are on the same site.
Does anyone know why this should be? I know that the company has been sold at least once during that time; did their policy regarding owners weeks change then?
I thought I'd post the question here first to find what experiences others have had before discussing this with Awaze.
