Monkeypox

Post by Penlan »

I watched the news yesterday while they were talking about Monkeypox, in horror I saw the words "Monkeypox can be transmitted through changing bed sheets". If things weren't bad enough through covid.

Please correct me if this is wrong.

If this is correct then be aware.

This doesn’t seem anything like as serious as Covid - although it’s very unpleasant, it doesn’t seem to be life threatening and there are very few cases.

When the Covid restrictions were lifted we suggested to our cleaners that they carry on removing bed linen by ‘rolling’ it off the pillows, etc. and avoid shaking it. That seems like generally good practice for avoiding any contagious diseases like chickenpox and would probably work for Monkeypox too.
