Taxes after brexit in Spain

Post by roxytoo »

My gestor gave me some interesting info today, I haven't researched it yet so don't know the ins and outs. I have copied and pasted verbatum

''Norwegians are treated equally for taxes than any other EU citizen despite they do not belong to the EU. A British resident renting an apartment here will have the same fiscal benefits back sooner or later but it is too early yet.''

I have abetter odds on me winning El Gordo. Than the Brits. being on the same tax regime as Norwegians.
Norway is in the EAA, which means Noway is subject to certain EU laws and regulations. Norway is able to participate in several of the Union's programmes, bodies and initiatives too.

The UK is obviously not in the EAA. And I do not think that the Union can participate in anything related to the EU
Not tax related but Norway is in the Schengen Area.
That, and more, puts Norway in a much closer relationship to the EU than the UK has at present.

The way things are going the British Isles are drifting further away from Europe/EU.
Never try to out-stubborn your guests.
