Christmas is coming
For those who are resident and may want to send pressies to the the UK at Christmas, I have discovered a quirk in the Spanish postal tariffs that is quite good. A jiffy bag up to the A4 size passes as "carta ordinaria". Up to 500 grams is just over 5 euros and it takes 3 or 4 days. Up to a kilo costs about 14 euros. I have successfully sent half a dozen small packs of cured meats on one occasion, some Magdelena cakes on another and just last week a 350 page book. If you try to send these things as a parcel the cost is horrific and it takes up to two weeks and urgent packages are just out of the question.
