MPLC licence?

I've just had a letter from MPLC (Motion Picture Licensing Company) saying that I require a licence.
They say they have contacted me before about this which is not actually true, this is the first contact I've ever had from them (just noticed the address is completely wrong so probably any previous letters never even found me!).
Is this actually required? I can't find anything online that's specific to holiday cottages. There is just a TV in the living room with basic freeview channels and a couple of radios. The letter they sent doesn't make it clear either, it refers to charges for guest bedrooms, but the bedrooms don't have TVs. Visit Britain only mentions DVDs or streaming service requiring a licence.
Can anyone help me with info on this?
Thanks.

Independent Cottages have an article concerning different types of license's that are required for holiday home owners.
Reading this article it would seem holiday home owners may also require a licence if they have a radio in the holiday let, I was unaware of this requirement.
Hope this helps.

It seems the music licence only applies if you have more than 3 guest bedrooms.

I found this from Visit Britain. It looks from this as though a licence isn't required unless you provide DVDs for guests?:

PASC (Professional Association of Self caterers) have been looking into this. They met with Motion Picture Licencing or MPLC who agreed that self-catering properties do not need to have licences.

They are still talking to PRS/PPL who manage the music licences - it looks like there will be something to pay there if you have multiple properties, but probably less than they are charging at the moment. PASC advice is that if you've had a final demand from PRS/PPL you should pay it. If they subsequently agree a lower rate then you will get the difference refunded. Definitely don't just accept the first figure they come up with - they quoted us over £500 which I told them was ridiculous. A few weeks later they dropped the rate to £210!
