That's weird and awful. Do you know which airlines? I've just completed our Spain Health forms and we've got the NHS app showing the vaccinations. We might have to help any guests who are brave enough to come out to Spain - how to manage filling out the form for the QR code. I know they won't let you board from here without one.

I think it is more check-in/gate staff than airlines.

A friend went to Majorca a couple of days ago, on Ryanair, and only had to fill out the Spanish Health form (which itself is a nightmare to do). No-one asked at the Spanish end to see his proof of two vax, although he had the NHS app on his phone ready to show.....

All so confusing and anxiety making!
The flight was with Vueling Gatwick to Valencia which code shares with BA but the website states in the small print that unless you have a proper vaccination certificate (i.e. from the NHS website) they won't take you. Apparently airlines are able to demand that to "in order to be able to protect their passengers"no matter what local rules are or are not.

Spain will require negative PCR or complete vaccination to British tourists. It is also reported in other press outlets this starts right away. No notice at all.

Always best to wait for the BoE. Supposed to be published tomorrow.

Well the BoE has been published now and confirms earlier speculation that Brits need either a -ve PCR test or a vaccination certificate to enter any part of Spain. Seems sensible with all the increases in the Delta cases but also very short notice!
