Airbnb

We have had to cancel numerous bookings made through them because of Covid restrictions. Although we have fully refunded the gustes everything that we would have received, Airbnb are still keeping the guests commisions. I have since discovered that if the guests contact Airbnb to say it was related to covid restrictions they can get their commission back.
I don't see why Airbnb should be taking money for covid cancellations when we are getting nothing. If you are in the same situation, please advise tour cancellations to do the same. I am now receiving telephone calls from Airbnb to confirm this is the cae but, hopefully, I have happier cancelled guests.
