Poolside radios

Post by Karen&John »

We have an indoor pool and would like to provide a radio (with Bluetooth for phone play list music) for our guests.

Can anyone recommend a 12v or other radio that would be robust and safe for wet hands?

best wishes for a good late season.

A Sonos Move, expensive but great sound quality and waterproof.

I'd be worried about where that could "move" to!

Probably into a guest's suitcase sooner or later.

Thanks for the ideas guys.

The sonus move would do the job.
Just need to solve the problems of:
1/. little darlings dropping it in the pool
2/. It walking out the door

We are on site, so 2/. is less of a risk.

would prefer bolt down version if we can find one :)

Why do you feel the need to provide anything? We find most of our guests arrive these days with their own music already loaded on their tablet / phone.

One of our wifi speakers can be unplugged and moved anywhere - we put it on a long wire cable, worked fine. Most of them have somewhere that a cable can be looped though. People really like them - we have two now. Everyone brings their own music but iPhone speakers aren't great.

That's a good idea Martha.
Not for this year tho' we'll be stripped back to the minimum for ease of cleaning / disinfection
