Huge amount of ignorance about the importance of travel insurance when booking a holiday cottage - even when it's specifically advised in the booking contract.

The phrase "Frustratingly, most providers are advising guests who want a refund to claim on their holiday insurance" shows that even journalists who specialise in travel seem to be surprised that insurance should have been taken out.

Exactly SB and a mention for LMH in comments not in this article but in another Guardian one yday.
