Lay My Hat

we are planning to sell our home which we live in and offer b&b; we also have two gites on the property. We now want to sell and have been told that there are steps to follow to mitigate tax implications with the sale but the advice hase been unclear.
Has anyone had experience of this they would like to share?

Hi Geoff,

My initial thoughts are that if you are selling the property rather than the business then there should be no special tax considerations.
If you are selling the business, part of which includes the property then there may well be some special considerations.
Just my (uninformed) opinion.
