Where do I find private messages?

A few weeks back I sent a private message to another member. I received no response but I now want to revisit the message and copy and paste it into a conventional email. But I can't find it - where should I be looking?

Click on 'You have no new messages' above and then check your Outbox and/or Sentbox, depending on whether your message was actually sent/read.
