Hi People, Does anyone know how the VOA 'valuation office agency' calculate furnish holiday lets, what's the criteria.

When we were first valued it was on the number of beds. When the last revaluation happened, they asked a lot of detailed questions about our finances, which meant I had to recast our accounts. I don't know what formula they used but our rateable value means we get a 100% discount so in effect pay nothing.

I'm just going through this myself, Rotaman. It's making me very nervous indeed...if I get a doubling of valuation (as has happened to some businesses), I'm going to be put out of business.
