VR-HA guest communication templates

For many years we have had our own templates for automatic guest communication through HA's-VR's online booking system.

Unfortunately we are unable to find the template (default, or our own version) for the final payment request.

We have had recently a group of French-speaking Belgians and a group of Germans where the email recipients could not understand what was being asked of them. Their English was not good enough to understand HA/VR's payment requests.

We therefore translated the message into German and French and sent it through the messaging system after there was no reaction from their side for a considerable time. The balance payments then came through pretty quickly. :lol:

I have no idea whether the system will auto cancel bookings if balance payments are not made before a certain date, or whether that is left for the owners to do, but we would like to translate the English text into at least French and German underneath, so that guests understand that it is time to click the button and pay!

Problem is, we can't find this template. It's not in the dropdown selection!

Going from Dashboard > PROPERTY > RULES & POLICIES > MANAGE EMAIL TEMPLATES > SELECT TEMPLATE (DROPDOWN) ------ the template being sent out is unfortunately not among the selection.

We thought that we may have to create it from the default, but...at the SELECT TEMPLATE stage, at right, there is an ADD A TEMPLATE option, but on clicking this, there is no other template that can be created or where the default can be undone.

We could of course just create a template (with all the text) but, we would need to link it to the correct message category so that it would be sent out automatically when the balance payment is due in the system. But, we can't find the right category!


This is the template going out to guests at the moment (final payment request):

Dear X,

Your next rental payment is due.

Please click the "Pay Now" button to make a secure online payment. Once the payment is made you will receive a receipt via email.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding your stay.
