Anyone else thought about using a smartphone App as an advertising vehicle?
As an excuse to learn about building Android Apps I produced an App for our holiday cottage - http://goo.gl/Xth0zA
I realised that it would have very limited appeal so I didn't spend any time on marketing it. I concentrated on producing a second App which would have a much wider appeal - A guide the the beaches in the holiday cottage area. This was a much bigger task, and to make it universally available, I had to invest in Apple technology. Its called the Gower Beach Guide and is available from Google Play - https://goo.gl/yTS4fr and/or iTunes http://goo.gl/0hlqCu
The App is free to download and free from any advertising.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated and I will be glad share my experience with anyone who is interested in App development.

Get started with an Android App using the free MIT Appinventor2 on line software - http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/
It's going to cost you lots pf money if you want to progress to create an iPhone app - Must have an Apple Mac (£1000) and must register as an developer licence £90 per year.
