If you are ever going to Corfu then I'd be interested in your services.

Eileen.

The cheapest flights to Corfu are to be found (most times!) at www.xl.com. We usually fly from Newcastle, but Glasgow if the price is right!

When checking a flight from Newcastle on XL type 'Tesco' into the special offers box to qualify for a £20 discount each.

We prefer to leave booking until the last minute. For return tickets we paid £66 in May, £51 in August and £76 in Sept, inclusive of all taxes.

So there ain't anything stopping you now.
Thanks for the info Eileen. Really good flight prices on that xl.com website. All we need now is more houses and we could plan our visit next year, maybe March.

How's the weather in March and is it a busy time for bookings?

Hi Maria-g,

Apart from a few special charters flying direct to Corfu at Christmas and Easter there are no direct flights out of the main tourist season. To visit Corfu November-April entails flying to Athens then a short inexpensive flight to Corfu.

The flight situation of course has an effect on bookings, subsequently we plan our lettings around May-October.

Bearing in mind how far north Corfu is it is May before weather-wise things heat up. The plus side to that is the lush and verdant landscape. :)

Thanks again for the info. Eileen.

We take it that the best time to go for taking photos of the holiday homes would be outwith school holiday times, so that's probably May on the first direct flight.

We have never been to Corfu before, so it is something to look forward to.

Corfu is at it's best in May. The springflowers are in full bloom and the fireflies put on an amazing show as you stroll to a local taverna for your evening meal.
