Enquiry from TA could create a double booking

I've just had an enquiry via TA for two weeks next July/August (including a £422 booking fee, but that's just another bag of dung). Anyway, I'm pleased I always check the dates and fees on PIMS first before making any reply as I could have potentially double book the last day of our own holiday!

I've checked my TA listing and the calander clearly shows the dates of our holiday booked up to 5 August and the enquiry is from 4 August and there's nothing on the enquiry to indicate the dates clash or are not available.

That was close!

I also had an enquiry from HL (my one and only this year) that was for dates that were booked out. I thought it odd, but just explained (that was also carrying a £300+ fee)

slight digression here - but were these bookings from outside EU?

I thought the service fee was not yet added to European bookings?

Have you set your enquiry filters to prevent enquiries for booked dates?

From your dashboard go to My Account and then Enquiry filters and then select:

Trip length is below my minimum stay
Changeover day is different from my saved day
Dates are marked as unavailable on my calendar

Enquiry Filters are only available on subscription model listings.

I have both subscription and commission on HL and only subscription has them. Are you on FK?

HL commission. I upgraded from subscription in December 2014.

So, the general consensus is that TA commission listings don't have enquiry filters, only subscription listings, so allowing enquiries for booked dates and risk of double bookings. There's no indication on the enquiry that any dates are already booked.
