French mobile numbers

Post by Hells Bells »

I've had a call this morning for a last minute booking from tomorrow from a French lady with a number starting 07 , is this a mobile? I have tried to call her back, as the email address she gave me bounced, but only got voicemail. If this is a mobile I can send an SMS. It is definitely French as it is +33 7xxxxxx

Yes, French mobiles begin with 06 or 07.

Thanks Mols. I've only ever had 06 numbers call me.

The 07s were introduced recently Helen (last year, I think) to make more numbers available to cope with new suppliers; my mobile is 07, for instance, whilst Mme Mols' is 06.

Yup - my ancient and reliable (touch wood) Nokia is 06 and hubby's new and somewhat unreliable smart phone is 07

Well she at least got my text and sent me a correct email address, but she's still saying she hasn't received it, so I've sent it again from my own gmail address.
