My Paris (Montmartre) apartment for anywhere by the sea

Post by greenfrog »

Hi,

I would love to swap my one-bedroom apartment in paris with someone who has a place by the sea in September.
I'm open to ideas on location so long as it's still sunny there in September - I'm thinking of the second week, for a week or perhaps two. Preferably continental Europe although I'm open to all suggestions.

Check out my apartment on vrbo: http://www.vrbo.com/88567
It's 40m2 with a small balcony with great views. It has a bedroom with a double bed and a convertible sofa in the living room so can comfortably sleep four.

If you don't want to do a straight swap at the same time, I'm open to letting you choose another period to come to Paris, though not June or July.

If anyone is interested, please let me know!

I'm also keen to swap the apartment for similar in New York (Manhattan) anytime in October or early November, for a week.

Elaine,
Our place is in New York, but I'm not looking to go to Paris unfortunately, only London or other parts of the UK. Also, as you can see from our website (click the www under my signature) it's not in Manhattan, but still close enough for day trips into the city or if you want to combine a city break with a beach/ wine country holiday. This probably doesn't work for you, but I thought I'd mention just in case you happen to have a place in the UK also!

I am also looking for October. I have the middle two weeks available at our beach house, or any week in November.

Hi Joanna,

Your place looks amazing! But I am looking for a Manhattan apartment for a city break. And I only have the apartment in Paris (I'm only starting my property empire  )

Anyone else got something in Manhattan?

Paris exchange for somewhere near the sea.

Elaine, have you got your exchange sorted out yet? When our property is ready next Spring/Summer I should be able to offer a 3-bed apartment on the beach in Costa de la Luz. It will have to be outside July and August, but equally I would be flexible about Paris. The following year (2008) would be acceptable.

Alternatively I could offer a very nice 2-3 bedroom house on the Suffolk coast (UK) with river/sea views, but would need plenty of notice as it's not really set up for letting as yet, we just use it weekends at the moment.

PM me if you're interested. I'll give you a link to my website, but as it's not finished yet I don't want to go live with it. Or alternatively some Suffolk photos.

Hi Pauline,

Thanks for your reply. Alas, I won't be taking any more holidays this year but I'll keep your place in mind for next year. Where exactly is it? I'm not familiar with the Costa de la Luz.

Best of luck with setting up in the rental game! It does get easier... ;)

It's the South west corner of Spain, right next to the Portuguese border. Relatively undiscovered, very tranquil and pretty, with gorgeous beaches. The apartment is a 3-bed penthouse with great views.

Elaine, check out my website. There are no apartment pics just yet as it's not finished, but this will give you a feel for the area.
