Hi all, would like to pick your brains
I'm looking at buying a property for holiday letting in South Devon, given the choice would you be going for?:
1/ Walking distance of nice touristy market town
2/ Little village on edge of Dartmoor
3/ As close to coast as possible
Plus, is it worth the extra cost of 3 bedrooms over 2?
I know there are no clear answers but I would value your thoughts.
Thank you
What & where to buy?

Ah you're still looking then....having had a revisit to your previous threads.
Same answer as I gave before - the coast. Near the coast is not the same as being on, or overlooking it though. However, I know nothing about the Devon market.
My experience of a coastal property is that it draws year round visitors to walk along the coast (especially weekend short breaks) as well as travelling around the surrounding area. However that may be true of walkers around Dartmoor? Is a nice touristy market town enough of a draw? I wouldn't have thought so.
The other key factors that help are to have a pub or eating place within walking distance - that again is a big draw for out of season visitors who don't want to cook on a short break.
