Agents Commission for Selling

Post by Emma40 »

Hi All,

We are selling an apartment in Bordeaux city.
What are the normal commission rates charged by agents?
Is there some way to find out online what particular agents charge?

Thanks for your help,
Emma

It depends.
I don't know about Bordeaux city
But in UK you can expect anything from 1% to 2% of the house price.
+ VAT at 20%.
For example, a £500,000 property at 2% commission is £10,000. You need to then add another 20% (£2000), which means you actually pay £1200 in total commission.
