Car hire at Faro please

Post by Montana »

Hi

We are visiting a friend's villa in Loule this summer, for the second time, and wonder if anyone can recommend a car hire company please? We had a few hassles with the one used last time (name escapes me, I'm afraid) and recommended by our friends, so would like to look into alternatives. Flying into Faro in July.

Recommendations welcome and gratefully received :D

somebody recommended Travelrent to me a week or so ago.

They had a new-ish Seat something for which they had paid around £160 for two weeks, booked online.

Sorry, I really can't guarantee anything, but the cheap ones booked online are usually very good, using very new cars.

The real test is always when (and if) something goes wrong of course!

There is a company AlgarveDriver who act as sole agents for YOR cars.

We have used them ourselves over 40 times (*), and we also recommend to our guests. Never had any problems.

They are a small company, meet you in the car park at the airport, no bussing, no fussing.

If you use this link, I will get a free day - in the WINTER, and they will also price match (like for like) anything else you may find.

(*) Yeah, I could have bought a car for the amount I've spent with them, but then there's all the hassle of ownership

Hi,

We've been using travelrent since 2004. Brilliant service as they are actually located onsite at the airport.

We have used Zitauto once or twice, but Travelrent are usually cheaper.

:D
