My neighbour is going to play golf in Spain - he asked me if I knew what the equivalent to Logis de France was in Spain - i.e. rated hotels with a range of prices. Is there the same thing there?

Not too sure what you mean Enid.....but down here there are many 'Hostals'..when I first heard this I imagined backpackers and bunk beds! But they are actually small hotels which cannot be classed as 'Hotels' because of they are smaller and provide limited facilities (e.g. no restaurant/dining facilities, no recreation areas etc).

We stayed in a 'gem' of a hostal in Fuengirola 5 years ago and since then (on recommendation) many friends prefer booking into there than a hotel.
