Photos on other people's computers

Everything to do with using your own website to advertise your rental property. Design, usability, hosting, getting listed on the search engines, optimising your site, pay-per-click, etc, etc.

Photos on other people's computers

Post by stork »

Warning: this is slightly geeky (and I am not sure if it is the right part of the forum)

I am quite serious about photography and print my photos myself, and out of the box the colours of my MacBook matches quite close. As a result, the photos I use on my own site and the listing sites generally have really nice colours when I view them.

My wife it using a (uncalibrated) Dell, and complained that the pics looked cold and wishy-washy. And she is right, on her computer. As she said, she would much rather book the place on my computer than on hers.

Any thoughts on that? any good direction to err in?

Have a look here, please: http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/rentals/fuzeta/120829

Did you convert them to SRGB before uploading them?

it might just be her computer - but if they look cold compared to other sites, that's the first thing I'd check.
