This site sucks massively. We mailed them with a lot of complaints , we never received an answer from them when it was needed. We tried to telephone them. they didn´t even bother to pick up the phone and got an answering machine instead which we replied with our problem. No answer at all. We tried numerous times to get a message to our prospect client without succeeding to do so. Then our prospect guest tried to pay according their instructions,,,, he could NOT ! He got as a result that this is an "invalid merchant" ! All was getting quite shady to say the least. So we almost lost a booking, but they lost the only possibillity of locating people on Madeira through their site. We withdrew our listing inmediately. I always thought the purpose of those platforms meant for us to unburden our dealings in renting out our house to guests. The only thing they achieved was massive headache and worry. So our solutions was: we hacked their site and got the contact details from our prospect customer. We maybe are old , but we are not stupid.
Conclusion :
Problematic communication with prospect renter, halve the time the system didn´t send messages to our renter.
Renter could not pay because the bussiness was deemed an invalid merchant.
No reaction whatsoever from Home for Hire on our emails.
The site itself is not secure , data are not properly protected as we could retrieve all kinds of information.
