Yes you will. Your existing insurer may not cover you at all for a holiday rental property unless you took cover on the basis that this was your intention originally. It tends to be the province of specialist insurers.

A warning - be very careful with Vodafone hubs/routers, I got one with 30GB per month (they don't do unlimited) and I expected it to be capped, but it was not, I just got a bill for excessive usage of £680. That's outrageous!! All my capped SIM based deals have been set up in terms of 'use ...

Is there an outbuilding or somewhere to put a washing machine? I'd go for a dishwasher indoors but have a washing machine in a shed or garage if it's at all possible.

You have to start with your style and work from there. The look you are aiming for will determine where it's best to go for furniture and accessories.

Shaz I think your place is in Spain, yes? In Spain the norm is to have a constructed pool with tiling. Pre-formed fibreglass pools are available, but somewhat frowned upon. Plastic liner pools are common in France but almost unheard of in Spain. No technical reasons? Just the local trades wishing t...

I take it that it's on the various FB groups, Rightmove, Idealista. Pisos, Fotocasa et al. There's not one hell of a lot more you can do beyond walking up and down the main street with a sandwich board :? The Spanish property market is so erratic compared to the UK, however it's not traffic that's i...

No response to the booking request. I wonder if the real Seventh Farm know their site has been compromised. Very, very odd.

Richard I think they pulled that rate from OD/HA. My place is no longer on the rentals market but instead of deleting I switched my listing to commission and blocked out the entire calendar in order to have the option to reverse my decision and keep my great reviews on stream. I was required to quot...

Very odd. When you go to seventhfarm dot com it is a riding stables, but the link to my property starts seventhfarm dot com/rotation/rental and that takes you to the property rental site. Has Seventh Farm's own legitimate web site been hijacked??

Seventh Farm

I'm feeling a bit paranoid after my Airbnb cloning experience (see post in Members section) so I had a potter around the internet to see where else my property might surface. Mostly the links were in the expected places, and in a couple of instances on the sort of search engines designed to look lik...

Data Protection Registration

Not for me, but someone has asked a question on an FB group I admin asking if anyone else who rents out their Spanish property has been asked to update their data protection registration due to changes in the legal requirements. This is the British owner of a Spanish rental. I wasn't aware that anyo...

Everybody knows roundabouts are for overtaking. If you're a slow-joe you take the right lane so the others can zip through on the left. Except if you have a truck, in which case you occupy both lanes. In one way streets you must obey the one way rule except if you are on a bicycle or live in the st...
