Where are you from man?
It would be "canny good" in my book or a grudging "alreet pet" as we don't really like to be over enthusiastic.

When I left home and was living in a flat in the 70's we were all having a conversation about how mean parents could be. It was turning into a bit of a "4 Yorkshire Men" for me so I told them my dad used to go around and steal those collection boxes which stood outside shops. (Those of a c...

If anyone is considering Hive we were offered it for £99 when our fire and heating was serviced by British Gas (as the engineer was already here). We snapped the offer up as we have it in the cottage and find it very useful. Worth hanging on if you get the services.

I rooted for Simon the whole way. He sounded like he'd stuck in at something he didn't really want to do to provide for his family and this was his chance of a dream come true for his ideal career.
I hope some of the chef's who jokingly offered him a job come through!

Simon was a very worthy winner. I've commented on a FB thread that I thought Simon and Tony's final dishes were tasting menu quality for presentation. Emma's might have tasted fantastic but it is the type of thing you can get at our high street Lebanese restaurant. I wouldn't be surprised if Tony en...

Not steam but I have had the Elna flat press for over 10 years. There is a thread on here somewhere about it. Enid also bought one (on my recommendation) and she loved it too. I always fold sheets/covers with someone helping and it just takes a few presses to iron them. I can iron just about everyth...

We initially didn't have a freezer but got an enquiry for a peak 2 week break, the guest specifically asked regarding a freezer. I replied that if he was going to book I would buy a mini freezer and it sealed the deal. It is similar to this one http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/481043...

Oh, and it was "just" minus 10 then. Another shot Dave just has a tshirt on for the obligatory Geordie stereotype shot! (No, he doesn't feel the cold!)

So much bad news and horrific happenings lately, I stood and marveled at the natural beauty of our world on this trip (Norway) and wondered what is going on. Onwards and upwards and hopefully better times for all.
