It gets better. I replied to him, shouldn't have bothered but I just wanted to get to the human behind the reply. I just said how no-one I know could live in a property with nothing but four walls and a roof. My decision on this is based has to be based on whether the property is capable of being re...

Yes, I'm sure I've not had 1.4 for years. The best I've had has been round about 1.2 before Brexit for the sort of small amounts needed to fund a holiday.

Just to update this. I applied for exemption for a property to the local valuations office covering Norfolk. The property is being stripped back to absolute basics, so: plaster off walls for damp treatment floorboards up for woodworm treatment gas boiler and all radiators being removed all electrics...

This thread is now several months old, having been raised by a member rather than the poster. You only need to look at the booking calendar to see that the product is now working very well indeed.

Whilst clearly Brexit plays a role, the CEO also blamed terrorism. In a letter to staff, Andrew Swaffield said the airline had this year carried 14% more passengers than the previous year, for £100m less revenue. "We had a turnaround year in 2015. But since them, outside influences have badly a...

So sad. It was a big employer in the town next to us and we travelled with Monarch many a time over the years. We just got back from Portugal a fortnight ago flying with them. Staff are already looking for work on our local job group. Lovely company and lovely staff. Ruinair by comparison. I ...

A quick throwaway response. I have all the social media platforms but can't keep up with them all and five properties. I've had facebook since the outset and use that a lot, within groups as well as my page. Twitter was good but they say it's had it's day. No idea in the truth of that. Instagram is ...

I use ical with OD, so by default with HA. It works brilliantly and I just give it a manual update every now and again in case it helps lift my listing up the ranks. It probably doesn't; I'm a naughty person who won't have online booking or payments so they can't get their service fees from my guest...

You're right, we digress on to business rates, but the others are correct. Business rates are not optional. If you advertise enough days, you fit the criteria and need to register. It's very simple criteria and not confusing. If your property is in England and available to let for 140 days or more p...

It's absolutely fine Nigel. It's a closed group which prevents scammers from getting in easily and wreaking havoc. If you were a regular facebook user you'd be more than comfortable joining a closed group. The (closed) dog holiday group I'm admin on has reached 55 thousand members and has been the b...

I agree with both sides. I can cope without a wardrobe if given enough hooks/hangers, but get very dissatisfied when given no hanging option at all. If it's in a recess then so much the better, but like Mousie I prefer not to see the clothes at all. :) I also dislike not having drawers or a place to...

It clearly is an epidemic! One of the properties I manage, last weekend was bad. The cleaner described it looking like there had been a party even though there were only two adults, a child and a toddler. Food everywhere including left in the microwave, washing up left, pegs all over the floor, shoe...

I googled it and came to this link which showed me the full article, but the link appears to be the same as Nigel's. Not sure whether this will reveal all or not then. https://www.ft.com/content/81d319ec-3be4-11e7-821a-6027b8a20f23 Edit: The same happens as with Nigel's link.
