Amazing.....how on earth did you work that one out? I would never have thought that placing something written in the text would trigger this. Logic, or irish logic perhaps! If there wasn't a box to tick then it had to be picking it up from somewhere! I am now going back to my 'Detailed Descr...

Right, solved it. :D I now have free wifi on both my properties. Go to description and amend your summary. Put 'free wi-fi' in there, save it, wait a while, then go back to check your listing and see if it's changed. If not, I also added the word wi-fi in the listing headline, but not the wor...

I'm only on OD and there is nowhere to select free wifi. However, I have two listings and one states free wifi, the other states internet! I'm just going to do an experiment. I'll be back with my findings in due course.

Personally I use white from Out of Eden with coloured accessories. It stands up to everything the guests and their dogs throw at it. Your house style might also dictate a choice if it's more of a cottage style, but with patterned bedding you have to throw the whole set away if just one piece gets ru...

I did exactly the same as Rosie. I had a small list of past guests, so I sent them one email giving them the option to carry on receiving a newsletter or else they wouldn't hear from me again. I obviously had lots of people who didn't subscribe but it meant everyone on my list complied with the rule...

Well done for making it through your first few weeks Sherry. I'll add a few random thoughts. I generally buy goods aimed at the commercial market, so for example my linen comes from Out of Eden and withstands all the wear and tear that can be thrown at it. My crockery comes from Nisbets as I can gua...

It's sad to target a particular part of the business community that is the lifeblood of tourist areas and I wonder if he has done his due diligence on the numbers involved. The only reason an FHL won't pay either Rates or Council Tax is if they qualify for SBRR and there are reasons why some people ...

If you can find a way of contacting facebook, you can request to change the personal profile you've been using to a business page. If you can still access it, you may be able to do it yourself. https://www.facebook.com/pages/create/migrate Ditto everything Rosie has said, you can completely control ...

I have the Cosmopolitan in two properties. I am very happy with them. They're cheap because they are a real trade supplier and you're buying from the manufacturer, no middle men involved. Cosmopolitan has the lowest number of pocket springs in their range. I spoke to Mattisons prior to ordering and ...

Just so everyone here is clear what Sam thinks of us, here's her reply to my email, in reply to hers. I said I wasn't interested in a site I'd never heard of, where the costs weren't revealed upfront, therefore trust was broken, and that had been the subject of several threads here where only one ow...

Just received the cold call from Sam. As soon as I asked the company name I knew of them from here. Yes, I got the 'we don't make money from sending people your way.' It's insulting quite frankly that she thinks we're not intelligent enough to see through her tactics! I'll be binning the email when ...

Facebook remains the third highest source of traffic to my website and has been for quite some time. I post sporadically in groups (I spend more time being an admin on a busy group than I do on my own posts!), and try to post reasonably regularly on my own page. There's no question it works, but onl...

I've heard of some people giving up their holiday rentals there as they've had such trouble finding good cleaners. As the north has become such a honeypot for people having second homes, the locals have been driven out. No locals - not enough people willing to do these jobs. Personally a coastal hom...

This got me thinking, as I know I haven't exchanged any euros at that rate for years. I looked back at the historical rates at the point that I usually travel in the year, and for many years, apart from 2015, when I wasn't lucky enough to buy any euros at 1.4 anyway, it was at the 1.1 - 1.2 rate tha...
