Same with Microsoft Edge. Drives one mad, when one is used to the convenience of stored details. I suppose it is a security matter and deliberate.

... Are home way now linked with ebay? It seems that one can't do very much of importance on the internet these days without providing the extra layer of security in the form of a one-time code sent to one's phone or email. Perhaps it has become big business and there are now code providers. Perhap...

HomeAway name change

As a "traveller", I received this piece of information from homeaway.co .uk:

"Vrbo is here for you
Your HomeAway account will become your Vrbo account, and your login details will remain the same. Emails and updates about your trip will now come from Vrbo."

Re: A Message From Our Founders - Airbnb

...What I particularly enjoyed was reading how "We are partners, and we will get through this together". The letter was addressed by name to individual hosts who bear the brunt of this decision and was signed personally by all 3 billionaire founders of Airbnb. How about this: "We are...

Reading newtimber's and Karen&John's posts above, I can now understand why Stripe, having paid out funds to their customer, after which they receive notice that the payment is disputed, do not want to risk being left in the middle holding the baby (excuse the metaphor), unable to recover the mon...

Sitting on a rug on the grass is great for the younger agile guests, whereas for older guests with creaking bones, it's not even an option! I am in the latter category and would be much happier to see comfy outdoor chairs etc. with cushions for both seat and back.

Thanks it's very good; but it says you shouldn't use a vacuum cleaner. How else do you clean carpets etc? You could try a Ewbank (every housewife's dream in the 1940's and 50's), because they don't rely on creating a vacuum and blowing out air. I could hardly believe it, but updated versions are av...
