No, but airbnb's rules say that you have to, and the OP said that the enquiry was through airbnb - not sure how they verify that is is actually you though (or if the picture is a little out of date )

I've just turned down a booking from Airbnb because the guests said 'we have posted a picture of our backyard because we don't want people to be able to recognise us on line.' Sort of missed the point there then - unless perhaps it is a Mr and Mrs Beckham (other celebrity couples are availab...

Seems like it is improving: May 27, 2016 THE FUEL situation is returning to normal after police cleared blockades at France’s fuel depots, the transport ministry has said. Following a week of disruption, made worse as concerned motorists rushed to panic-buy fuel, a ministry spokesman said yesterday ...

No, no. You only use the front part for floor cleaning and loo brushing. Cut off the back end an inch from the tail, fix to the wall at hand height and then you have somewhere handy to poke the tea towel

I do actually have a plastic version of this, but I have no idea how to post a picture.

Sorry to hear that AngloDutch. It's probably me that mentioned it in the first place as we get a high percentage of our bookings via them. We inherited the listing rather than setting it up from scratch so I wasn't aware of this criteria  Although we are detached, we do have neighbours either ...

Hi Claire - we have all our name@domain enquiries forwarded to a dedicated gmail account which we only use for business correspondence. It was very simple to set it up so that when we reply to an enquiry to the name@domain address, the reply shows as coming from name@domain rather than the domain@gm...

Down here there's a saying that NL tourists bring their own potatoes and take home the peelings  . Not especially my own experience, and it may or may not have any basis in fact, but it's true to say that they're not especially coveted as guests round here as people believe that they don't sp...

.......I'm sure if it's unlocked and you close it from the outside it doesn't lock, but wondering if the lock is put into the lock position when the door is open, then the door is closed, it may trip and lock the door from the outside when you close it. We have a similar door to our kitchen balcony...

Hi Aldo, Can't help with specifics re FK I'm afraid, but when we bought this place, the previous owners gave us a list of logins for all the existing advertising sites so I was able to login and change all of the contact details. I guess it might get a bit more complicated with sites that ask for pr...

Hi Lindyloo, Looks like you will be down in our neck of the woods then. great choice! - we are 18km from Lauzerte at the moment. As Circe said, burglaries "can" happen occasionally but you just need to use common sense - decent locks, not leaving stuff on obvious display and timers for lig...

We get a lot of bookings via Natuurhuisje.nl - lots of Belgians as well as Dutch. It is a commission site so you need to factor that in to your pricing, but they have been very helpful - especially considering that we don't speak Dutch.

AngloDutch - all of our details are correct, and I get what you are saying about hovering over details, but this is a new thing on the welcome page. You only see it when you actually preview your listing - might be worth checking that! There are several different coloured boxes above our general det...

Thanks AngloDutch - I have found the box, but it is already unticked :( I'm sure I haven't seen these silly claims on our ad before. It comes up on the first page and says something like "why people choose to book here" but they are predefined reasons. We have boxes showing that "ther...

ABB adding guests for free

I have just noticed on our ABB listing that there is a box that says that you can add extra guests for free up to the maximum occupancy. It says book now and worry about adding people later. Err - no! We don't work this way, the booking is for the number of people on the original enquiry. I have had...
