Received similar, also supposed to be from VRBO. Was actually from "michael at nicogeo.live".
Property number was wrong, and 'review' was from 'fred'.
Links all pointed to same address, except 'links' at bottom of email which were false and didn't link to anything.
Straight to 'deleted'.

Where guests had asked for cleaning we try to give a guide price on the day they leave (based on 20 euros per hour), after having had a quick look around the property. Then we clean, and then decide on a final price. When you go to the refund part on HA you can enter the amount you are claiming, and...

Presumably these guests booked and paid before the current changes to HA's damage deposit system. Therefore you should be able to deduct from the "damage deposit" that HA have kept. We have done this a few times, mainly for extra cleaning, and normally with prior agreement with the guests....

"If you refund 100%, give a credit, or reschedule, your property will receive a ranking increase equivalent to a 5-star review. Your reviews section will also state that you were supportive in a difficult time. Owners who fail to refund at least 50%, give a credit, or reschedule will receive a ...

Can't find any reference to "1 star reviews" on HomeAway. Can you be more specific about where you read this?

Are you able to access and change your content on your ad with them? If so, then why not delete as much content as possible, and leave a message for anyone viewing your ad, explaining your situation. Make your availability 'blocked'. You could also place text asking enquirers to contact you directly...

Boris is not keen to turn the 'advice' to do or don't do various things into legal requirements. Some people have said that he is trying to protect the insurance industry from the claims that will hit them when 'advice' becomes mandatory. Boris Johnson was paid £25,540 to speak at the British Insura...

Property owners are not selling a physical product. When someone books a holiday property they are entering into a contract for someone to rent something to them for a limited period at a future date. As a property owner my obligation is to provide what I advertised for the dates contracted. That is...

I know what you mean 'bornintheuk'. But if nobody reacts to them they simply see this as the green light to push further.
What is frustrating is that there seems to be hardly anyone on this forum any more. So it's difficult to try to get other people to "reach out" to HomeAway/VRBO.

Updates to help with COVID-19 cancellations, and my email re

You've probably seen an email entitled "Updates to help with COVID-19 cancellations", and the new HomeAway policy. I've replied to this email, but as I can't seem to find Jeff's personal email, for some strange reason, I've had to reply to a previous email from Rebecca Barton, who is appar...

They should care about owners, as without owners they will have no properties to advertise, no bookings being made, and therefore no income.
Without owners they have no product. It's that simple.

There is no "state of emergency" officially declared in France (as far as I am aware). So, my advice would be "no refund". Tell them, in no uncertain terms, that it is their decision to cancel, and under your terms and conditions no refund will be made. Their talk of 'legal actio...

HomeAway more or less telling guests to cancel.

I have just seen the following email sent to all booked guests from HomAway. "Navigating holiday plans around COVID-19" "Dear traveller, We understand the hesitation to travel in light of COVID-19. Family is our number-one priority, and that certainly includes yours. We want you to ma...

Two large and one small property, in same hamlet in SW France. We do not do B&B, or daily rental, only 7, 14 day or more. Market is families or other large groups, or couples in the small property. It's a typical old house in the country with swimming pools etc.
