Yes, there was a solicitor involved, he was under instruction from the estate agent and after the initial contract signing he did'nt hear from the estate agent again. TIP NO. 2 ALWAYS use an independant solicitor and rely on personal recomendations from people you trust!!! Regards, ck I still need a...

Beware of Fraudulent Estate Agents!!!

Hi, I have'nt posted for a while but feel duty bound to report my findings in Bodrum just recentley. We bought our apartment in Bodrum two and half years ago and understood at the time that the military checks, ( a requirement for foreigners buying in Turkey), would take some time. Over an extended ...

Hi Paul, Best of luck with the bookings although I have learnt to have a slightly cynical view when it comes to actually getting bookings for apartment rental in Turkey. We bought our apartment last October and had great visions of being able to rent it easily due to its location etc. Once the websi...

Hi again Paulnet, Thanks for the input. We're listed on a handfull of rental sites but enquiries have been dissapointing to say the least. We were rather hoping to get in on the "ground floor" on the turkish rental front before saturation (like spain) occured, I still see this as being som...

Re-Turkish Bookings

Hi Paulnet, Thanks for the speedy reply. What mediums do you use to promote your property and which do you find to be the best. I notice you don't have a website address (or have you not entered the url in your personal details?) How long have you had the property and what percentage of the season d...

Your comments

Thank you to all that have taken the time to review the site and thank you to Joanna for her very positive comments. I agree that the text may be a bit formal but not being a pro copywriter I accept full resposability for this and will try to "tone it down" in the near future! To clear up ...

In reply to Garri's comments with regard to links on other peoples pages cluttering the appearance of those pages. I am not suggesting huge H1 size links across the prime area of the page but a small list at the base of the page in a small font size. Probably disregarded by most viewers but enough f...

Would anybody with a google pagerank be willing to do a reciprocal link with my site. My apartment is in Bodrum,Turkey and should'nt compromise any rental oppurtunitie...

Waiting on Google!

Ju stated:- It sounds to me like Google are getting too big for their boots. This is true but like most things in life the bigger companies have the bulk of the control over what we lesser mortals are allowed to consume. Putting that aside over 80% of net users use Google, which, as irritating as it...

Hi all, I use smartstats which I get via my hosting company (www.catalyst2.com). It offers all the possible info you could need including paths through your site which is ideal for seeing where people "get on and off", geographic info and can even tell you what browser (and what version!) ...

evaluating feasability of areas

Just a thought, Paolo pointed out There is a good tip above - look up the sort of properties you are thinking of on listing sites and check rates and availability. Having read a number of other topics on LMH I noted alot of renters do not show their availability for one reason or another. I feel it ...

Had a brief look. Lose the flash intro. The alignment of the menus on left the top one is out of line. Also noticed the text "cropped" in the title. I'm using Firefox so I don't know if the issues above are relevant to IE. Overall quite pleasing to the eye (apart from the intro!) Best of l...
