Re: Hive getting worse...again

Thanks, to add people that way, you use People>Invite?

Ideally we'd want to go back to the old way with signing in with a restricted email but that might be somewhat useful at least, currnetly the cottage and home are on different emails.

Hive getting worse...again

So the previous update to Hive meant that we couldn't any longer provide access details to guests (we used the Pseudonym feature on Outlook to create an email address that couldn't be signed into by anyone, to create a Hive account, but forced 2 step verification locked us out when an unsuspecting g...

You can do a search on your chosen area for chalets and look at their prices that way. Probably more comprehensive than asking an owner to share their information as they may get the same regulars returning year on year. You will be at a disadvantage over small business rate relief though as you wi...

Rough Income from a Cheap Chalet (£500-600wk at peak)

Hi all Being fed up with working for other people and having some capital (and not needing a huge income) I'm thinking of quitting one of my jobs and buying 2-3 cheap chalets in Norfolk to let out as we already have a holiday cottage close by and know the area quite well. I'm trying to do the maths ...

Not in GY, we are near Dereham. Our cleaner recently quit to get a full time job. We tried an advert in the local store - little response. Then put an ad on facebook, which produced a large number of replies (some from very experienced cleaners). Might be worth a try. Best, John & Karen Thanks,...

Need holiday cleaners in Gt Yarmouth/Hemsby area

We need to find a cleaner who can do occasional changeover cleans, mainly school holidays, in Caister. Does anyone know of anyone as we're having trouble finding anyone with availability. Already using Mary Moppins but expensive and not very reliable (had problems with invoices, turning up late etc.)

When do you expect to have the summer holidays all booked up

Hi all,

By when would you start to get worried that your prices or something else is wrong if your summer holiday weeks aren't all booked up yet?

We have a Bosch Washing Machine that we bought 11yrs ago still going, although the plastics have crumbled a bit in our sun room/utility room. (would NOT however recommend our Bosch dishwasher or oven) For our holiday cottage we bought a Beko, they have quite a good record for price:reliability ratio...

How about closing off some rooms and renovate the rest first. Market as a 3 bed to begin with for example, then only as a 6 bed when you can get to them?

Bargain? Hive System at £60

Toolstation have this which seems fantastic for remotely controlling your holiday home heating - anyone have this version, is there anything to look out for, and does anyone know how easy it is to fit? Fitted a NetatMo thermostat myself but the rocker switch has gone. Does anyone use one for anythin...

Hi - thanks for all replies so far - the issue we are concerned about primarily, certainly over more than a reasonable level of security, is absolute reliability - the other thread I linked to above suggest it is easy for the code to be accidentally changed and we don't want one that will do that or...

I've used this one for years without problem: www.screwfix.com/p/master-lock-5-key-combination-key-safe/77908 I've seen this thread which is worrying on several fronts - not sure how likely problems are but don't want to be having to drive up with a key (or trying to pick the safe/smash it) http://...
