It does sound dodgy to me. The enquirer obviously definitely isn’t French, yet they persist in contacting you in that language.

Did you Google the address to see if it checks out?

GillianF, I’d check again with your bank, sometimes you get different advice from different people. If they say the funds are definitely cleared, can you get it writing? This still smells a little fishy to me.

You could also add that the price is for the whole property, not per person.

Thanks for posting, I also had an enquiry from this person via my own website but obviously he picked that up from Chez Nous. I was suspicious but replied not available, then suddenly his dates were flexible, he asked what did I have available (classic scam tactic). I probably shouldn't have replied...
