Roz We are with Sykes, and when we first started they did suggest a low weekly price. But having neighbours who are also in the business we used their cottage as our price guide and Sykes were happy to fit in with our request. However, they hid from us the fact that they charge a £35 booking fee for...

I've just prepared and published my first blog. I should have done this 12 months ago, as starting now means I've had to cram a lot into 1 page. But its a start: http://www.theconistoncottage.co.uk/miners-blog I want to keep it simple and was thinking that future blogs would capture current events a...

Damien You kindly commented on our site (miner's cottage) so I'm returning the favour. We must have similar tastes for simple and clear websites, as your's hits the mark. Lovely pictures too. In terms of getting the site recognised in the search engines, I'm just in the process of doing this myself....

Review My Website

Thanks very much for the constructive comments, and positive feedback too. All valid points and really helpful in fine-tuning our site. I'll tackle the easy ones first, then ask our web designer to look at the hard stuff. All I now need to do is get the website to go viral :!: Once again, thanks for...

I want to say a big "THANK YOU" to everyone for finding the time to comment on my website. I've made most of the changes and will tackle others over time, but with your help, it's so much better than when I started. :D

Thanks

I don't mind picky at all, I've invested a lot of time into this and I'm keen to get it right.

I pleased to say that the calendar idea was my other half's, and you've all given me enough feedback to make the change as soon as I get a bit more time :)

Watch this space!

Kindest regards

Thanks VERY much Delilah and Nemo. It's always a boost to get good feedback when you've worked so hard on something. I've got the gallery arranged in the editors version, but now need my expert to help me post it on the website! I know what you mean about going off site for availability. I'm going t...

Review My Website

I've just finished creating a brand new website (well I've been helping the IT expert to develop it for me) and I would really appreciate your comments. I've a few obvious things to adjust, eg change an icon on the booking page, but what is your first impresson :?: I'm also on facebook as miner'scot...

To Kyreniagirl, I've only created an FB page because I'm told it will help increase the Search Engine Optimisation. I'm totally rubbish at it as others will be able to see. We're too new to know if this is true, but I'll keep you posted. Cheers.

Thanks so much, and for the advice too. I've used all my IT skill creating the page (!) but I'll dig a bit deeper to try and convert my account.

Once again, many thanks :)
