Re: 2021 - summer cancelled

German booking: "Very sorry to cancel but it is now clear that we will not be able to travel to France without going into quarantine on both sides. We are all vaccinated and believed that we would be ok to travel when we booked." The first of many, no doubt. Or all. Well that is actually ...

If your booking details are different to the booking details entered on the VRBO set up then why would you upload your form to the VRBO system ?

BorninUK's first source postdates the second so we ignore the second. A bold statement and not necessarily true ! I am sure that visa's are not required but there are other requirements such as having at least 3 months validity on your passport and some form of health insurance cover. Wasn't Brexit...

Visa for holidays in France for UK now ?

I have linked to a site from Service Public which clearly states that all visitors, tourists included who wish to stay in France for less than 3 months now need to obtain a "Attestation d'Accueil" which will cost the herbeger (Gite owner, B and B owner, hotel owner) the sum of €30 and coul...

SPJ I cannot find anything on your website about complying with Guests information with regards to complying with GDPR and NISD. Has it something to do with that? As the inquiry and information is transmitted via the Abritel portal then surely the GDPR regulations apply to Abritel, not the owner of...

I don't really see the issue here.
They pay via Abritel and the Abritel system will pay you and retain any damage deposit in your terms and conditions until you say its OK to repay the deposit.
Does it really matter whether they come from Paris or Lille ?

Not sure what "cotiscotistations" are but you will need to re-register at your new Marie and also get a new rating from a suitable agency in order to claim the 71% allowance on income for tax purposes

Travel news is at the moment confusing. Some EU countries want a Covid passport, others don't. The EU announced that the Americans can possibly travel to Europe of a vacation, but most countries are under some form of lockdown/restrictions. The British say that Covid passports are not to be introdu...

Covid PCR tests for UK clients

It may be possible this year that we have UK based clients again and as a requirement for their return entry they will need a hopefully negative PCR test (I think) As I am in the French system I get a PCR test gratuite, does anyone know what a UK resident will be charged for the test ? Or will they ...

HFD are primarily a ferry company, Brittany Ferries and dont really have much interest in maintaining prices of their Instant booking system. They have probably lost a fair amount of money due to cancelled sailings and no Failing Grayling to bung them a couple of mill. I dont think any Brits will be...

Living in the Charente, south West France, and having 2 pools to winterise I have stopped using covers completely for the winter. As I live on site 365 days I can wander over to the relative pools and using a net remove the leaves easily. Also easy to add a little liquid chlorine and run the pump fo...

As you know a little of HTML coding I would look at Bluegriffon, its free for the basic edition which has everything you need apart from sylesheet compiling. I think it works on all OS'es but I run a Linux system and it works fine.
