We work with 3 different agencies, all of them get 25% only for bookings, the management of the apartment is our responsibility. I know it is huge, however it is really necessary as the owners rental sites only provide us bookings for the high season. And we can always decide the rates, so we increa...

I should have criticised Holiday Velvet earlier... they've sent a great booking for September and another promising inquiry.

I've also tried a bunch of free sites with the expectation of getting some more bookings, but it's worthless... Even for SEO purposes. I've paid up for 4 different Listing Sites: Homeaway (PT) Flipkey Homelidays Holiday Velvet I can recommend all of them, except HV... it was an huge disappointment, ...

We have also stopped charging the fee, because of all the hassle with it. Some of our guests come via Rental Agency, so they pay in cash at arrival... meaning we had to be in the place at the check-out for the "inspection". With the remaining guests we tried to implement the mentioned meth...

25% commission! I would never agree to such a high amount. Rental Systems charge 10% for bookings they generate, and 2% for processing our own bookings. I had a look at the home pages of the two sites you mention; they look remarkably similar, both based in Barcelona, Spain. It's up to you, but 25%...

Hello Richard, How's the weather down there? 8) About the banner - regarding some of the facilities we have in the apartment - I intended to symbolize a retreat at the city centre. I absolutely agree with you about the city spirit, the typical neighbourhoods have got nothing to do with that image......

I've been checking with the friends I've mentioned, and they work with the following commission based agencies: Waytostay FriendlyRentals According to them, these sites give them an average of over 20 days per year rented, without having to bother with enquiries and scams. Of course the percentages ...

Is that review honest? I ask because in your blog you open for business on the 20 August and you have already had a client staying there. That besides; A lot of photos do not have alternative text: Some links take you away from your website, which is not considered a good idea. The photo on the fir...

I cant read the text, its too small and dotty, but I am old. I think you should add the country to the introduction but the layout of tabs is nice and workable. I appreciate that you will change the photos, but maybe fewer with better angles, and remove the word shed in the description. Also apprec...

I've seen Paolo's post and advice to review other users Sites as well, however this was the first time I've built a website, I'm asking fo...

Comission based sites

This is my first post, however I would like to thank you all as LMH has been very helpful for quite some time now. I'm about to start in the holiday rental business in Lisbon, the apartment should be ready in just a couple of weeks. I'm aware of the best Owners Rental Listing Sites (free and paid), ...
