For 2009, bookings were very good....much to my surprise with the economy being what it has been. I did offer some "specials" early on thinking that it would be a difficult year.....but as it turned out there was no change. For 2010, I'm already mostly booked until May, 2011.

What one tip has made the biggest difference in your success
Let's leave the one tip that has made the biggest difference in our rental success. Take a good idea, and leave one behind. Clean is the #1 bottom line must have for success. I leave the cleaning check list that I have made for the cleaning staff inside my condo with a note to my guests: "This ...

Networking
On Linkedin, I have joined Vacation Rentals Professionals and started a group vacation rentals with owners. The first group has directed me to many listing sites, and information about the advantages of networking if you have a vacation rental. I have also joined other groups that I'm interested in ...

Where are you networking?
I noticed the number of responses about Facebook and thought that I would see where else people here are networking. If you are on any of these sites, I'd be glad to connect. I'd also appreciate knowing of any others that you have tried. They say that networking is how business is going to be done i...

I know next to nothing about Facebook, but having discovered that I'm on it I've got some questions. Is there a LMH Facebook thread anywhere besides this one? And does anyone know who (an LMHer) has Villa Sophia in Turkey? I think it's a great example of using Facebook for property rental, but I'm ...

Hello, I'm new on this forum
Hello, I'm new posting here, but really not quite as new looking around! I've come a few times to read your advice...and there is a lot here. You folks seem to have a wealth of knowledge. I grew up on a farm [no, I won't write about each year of my life!] in Ohio and thought I would never travel or ...

TweetDeck requires the Adobe Air 1.5 runtime be installed first. Then download the TweetDeck AIR file I copied and pasted the above from the tweet deck site. Just down load the adobe air first, and then you are set to go. I don't know enough about computers to advise you, but I do know that someone ...

Best sites for Rentals from Europe to the USA
My rental is in Hawaii. My question is: what is the best portal for my property to attract rentals from Europe? I thought there maybe one that most Europeans use when they are looking for rentals in America. I've reviewed some of the ones that say "holiday" or "villa" and they se...

This is one of the best sites for information that I have found: http://genesisblogging.com/ Also, it helped me greatly to download tweetdeck and it is explained there. I'm really a novice, and I've made a lot of mistakes. One of the things that I have learned [which should have been obvious, but wa...

US Bookings?
[/b] I was wondering how bookings are specific to the USA? Where are people doing well and where have the inquiries gotten less?
My rental is in Hawaii, so I'm particularly interested in Hawaii, but I would also like to do a comparison with other parts of the country.

Overall good website
Your website seems to be very well done. The information there was easy to find and clear. Suggestions: 1. Print a bit small 2. Check with vrbo, vacationrentals.com and see if your prices are in range for your location. 3. I would have wanted to see more information about the location than was given...
