Can the forum users shed some light on the NHR (non habitual resident) status.

Has any one obtained this status. Is it what it is suppose to say on the tin ?

My understanding is that the card is issued to semi permanent/permanent residents.

With the SI card you register with the local GP. The cost incurred by the Spanish health system is than recovered from the British system.

I understand that Health Insurance in Spain is relatively cheap. Any advise as to the cost,coverage do and donts ?

I will be retiring next year & wish to move to Spain permanently.
