Any thoughts on the Homeaway super bowl commercial? Is this going to bring more business for property owners? If you missed it you can find it on youtube by typing 'homeaway vacation rental ad' or click this link: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=homeaway+vacation+rental+ad&search_typ...

I have my apartment priced in US Dollars, should I change?

I was trying to market my property to Americans and therefore I'm currently accepting US Dollars. But I have noticed that Europeans seem to be traveling to Egypt much more than the Americans these days... so I was considering changing to Euros. Any suggestions?

Any coupon codes available?

I wanted to give Perfect Getaways a try. Do they offer coupon codes or a trial period? Are they primarily UK based?

Real estate question

Is it worth buying a property in the USA right now to turn it into vacation rentals? How has the vacation rental marketing been impacted with this economy? As property owners, have you noticed an increase in vacancies?

Thanks.

Linda, this is probably why I am doing so well with them... they are listed high on search engines and have fewer listings (less competition). I justed typed 'vacation rentals' on both google and yahoo and they are listed on the first page of both.

Which other sites do you recommend?

I have been doing very well with vrwd

I joined vrwd.com beginning of December and received several calls and was already able to book my property twice through them. They charge only $95 for a property to appear on 6 sites, so it is totally worth it.

Directory submissions may increase page rank

If you submit to certain directories that have relevant terms you will be able to boost your site page rank. For example, http://www.Dmoz.com and http://www.Yahoo.com are the best. But it is not easy getting on Dmoz from what I hear, and Yahoo is quite expensive ($300/yr +). However, there are also ...
