Some FB pages are eligible for verification to let people know that the page is in fact authentic. Once approved, a (small) blue badge is displayed on the page showing FB has confirmed it's authentication. I'm not convinced many people actually notice the badge but I guess anything that helps to pro...

Slightly different, but same subject. We sleep six in three bedrooms yet frequently have couples booking. Suits us perfectly, especially as more often than not they only stick to using one bedroom!

They pay full price too for the pleasure of rattling about in too much space :D

Excellent Rosie, thank you. Not being very 'wordy' it is lovely to have my thoughts and impressions put into words!

I shall share with credits to you.

Sorry to hear that Bunny, but in a perverse way it helps to hear I'm not alone! :)

Over the past 10 years I have enjoyed excellent advance bookings from a healthy mix of returning and new guests. A lot is down to the fact people like to book their flights as soon as they are released by the airlines. Late bookings have been few and far between, however this year is a different sto...

I rang HA this morning with a list of questions. I have set my cancellation policy to 'no refund', but on HA's advice I will attach my own rental agreement to the policies. Paulo, I asked about the last minute cancellation of credit card payment scenario, but didn't get the answer I was looking for!...

It's worth investigating. I'll set it at 'no refund' and give them a call tomorrow.

Thanks for your input, it helps to have someone listen rather than banging my head off the laptop screen!

... Even their 'strict' wouldn't suit me, so I'd have to go for no refund. I'm in agreement there! I guess, I'll have to go along with HA/OD's cancellation policies for any bookings via their listings. I did read on another thread that a few LMH's in their reply to enquirers managed to gently point...

You can quite happily have different cancellation policies for different listing sites and your own site. Why not? After all, you can have different prices. Thank you new timber. I'm still stuck as to which to choose as my policy does not fit in with the criteria given. Relaxed = 100% refund for ca...

OD/HA 'Pay per booking' cancellation policy.

I'm being particularly thick due to information overload. At the moment I'm setting up 'pay-per booking' on HA and OD after having previously been on subscription with OD (& just about all the rest over the years!). I'm pretty much stuck on the following point which is holding me back from movin...

If you go to this page , and select an appropriate regional area, you will see a page with an '+ Add a Listing' hyperlink. You can only add a listing if you register on the site first. Did mine this morning in about 30 mins, and the listing was posted straight away. Thank you so much for you help. ...
