You would be breaking the law. The exemtions are quite clear. (4) A person referred to in paragraph (3) may continue to carry on their business and keep any premises used in that business open— (a)to provide accommodation for any person, who— (i)is unable to return to their main residence; (ii)uses ...

It gets better. From the latest template: Having taken advice from one of the leading consumer lawyers in the UK, I am confident that my claim will be successful in the court. I suggest that you too take urgent legal advice and in this respect I will give you until [insert date 7 days from the date ...

The letter before claim is used to notify someone that court proceedings may be brought against them. If you have a strong case you wouldn't need to over egg it. Note the following quote (my bold): This will result in a County Court judgment being registered against you Now google the above phrase: ...

It's only 140 days available and let for 70 days as opposed to 210 days available 105 days let in England.

If the Welsh government don't like it then mybe they should have aligned with England. Seems a bit rich complaining about the rules they have created.

People that are gung ho for litigation tend to be those that have never been through the process. Even if you have all your ducks in a row it can depend completely on the mood of the Judge on the day. Sometimes a win can be a pyrrhic victory and it would have been easier not to have bothered. A dete...

No, I'm not on the Sykes owners page. I have considered it, but at this time have decided not to join. I'm glad that there has been some legal advice sought. The threat of litigation can be quite distressing especially if you feel you have done nothing wrong. The layer/journalist (maybe could add pa...

Sometime it is advisable not to discuss details in public forums. This is one of those cases. At the time I felt it would have been foolhardy to discuss points of the Sykes contract that could be turned around on me. If you are going to hand out pitchforks to the mob you shouldn't be surprised if yo...

This has gone off at a strange tangent. My take is if you paid yourself a fee as you are the same entity the fee would be taxable at the same rate as if you hadn't bothered. This makes the transaction pointless. :? Does that even make any sense? I suppose the way around it would to be to set up a li...

Find the appropriate legislation online. For England it is: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/350/made Print off and highlight the passages that apply to you and what you are doing. For the above I would use: Restrictions on movement 6.—(1) During the emergency period, no person may leave the ...

Noise Monitoring - Party Prevention Alarm

Installed a Minut last month at the property and have been evaluating it. https://www.minut.com It monitors temperature, humidity, motion, noise levels and pressure. I've always been concerned that someone would rent the cottage and hold a party but the noise level alarm has somewhat set my mind at ...

The Nest should connect to the stongest signal. If you look on your router setup page it should show if it is connected to 5GHz or 2.4GHz. If you are using the router supplied by your provider it might be an idea to upgrade. I'm using a Draytek that lets you remote in using a VPN. So you can reboot ...
